Model depicts the "Mstitel" ("Avenger") option from the Aeromaster Decals sheet 48-349 ("Shturmoviks part 3"). This particular aircraft was the star of a 16mm propaganda film and posters from the Berlin campaign. The "Avenger" artwork may have been applied for filming as the few still shots publically available show it to be unstained by the exhaust - either that or it was freshly scrubbed before take-off. A frame from the movie was later re-used with the artwork removed crudely from the picture. This lead some to erroneously conclude that the artwork was applied to the photos later. However this is a reversal of the truth. Propaganda posters show this aircraft in a montage over the wrecked streets of Berlin in 1945 - this aircraft flew with the 16th Air Army.

Base is railway-scenic grass on a simple hard wood bottom. GAZ 67 "jeep" is from Tarmac. Grass tufts by Joefix.
